CBD and casino brands have to navigate a tighter compliance lane than other verticals. Here's exactly what's allowed in AllHipHop placements and what gets rejected.
CBD & Cannabis Guidelines
Allowed
- Brand stories, product launches, founder interviews.
- Industry news, market analysis, regulatory updates.
- Lifestyle and culture angles ("CBD in hip-hop," "cannabis tourism").
- Educational content about cannabis culture, history, ingredients.
Not Allowed
- Specific medical claims ("cures anxiety," "treats cancer").
- Dosage advice or prescription replacement framing.
- Underage targeting or imagery.
- Content marketed for sale to states where the product is illegal.
Casino & iGaming Guidelines
Allowed
- Casino brand features, sportsbook reviews, online gaming culture.
- iGaming industry news, regulatory updates.
- Bonus and promotion descriptions (with terms).
- "Best of" comparison content.
Not Allowed
- Targeting users in jurisdictions where online gambling is illegal.
- "Guaranteed wins" or unrealistic outcome claims.
- Content aimed at minors or under-21 audiences.
- Predatory framing ("recover gambling losses").
The compliance bar: if your content would pass a Google Ads review, it'll pass AllHipHop's review. We're more permissive than Google Ads on legal cannabis and licensed gambling, but the same content-quality bar applies.
Anchor Text Rules
Both verticals get scrutinized closely by Google. Aggressive exact-match commercial anchors hurt your link profile. Stick to:
- ~60% branded anchors (your brand name).
- ~25% topical-partial ("the X CBD brand," "this online casino platform").
- ~15% generic or URL anchors.
