Digiwaxx Goes Global: U.S. DJ Promotion Opens To Artists In 14 International Markets

The record pool that pioneered digital DJ promotion now routes Afrobeats, amapiano, UK drill, regional mexicano and South Asian releases to 30,000+ U.S. DJs

Digiwaxx Media, the New York company that created the first digital record pool, is going global. The platform now serves artists, labels and distributors across 14 international markets, giving overseas releases a direct pipeline to more than 30,000 professional DJs in the United States.

The expansion covers the UK, France, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, the Southern Cone, Japan, Korea, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Canada, and Africa, with dedicated programs for Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa. Market pages are localized in each region's language, from Japanese to Spanish.

The direction of the pipeline is the point. A Lagos Afrobeats label, a London drill artist, or a Punjabi act in Mumbai can now service a release straight into U.S. clubs, mixshows and diaspora rooms, the places where records break in America, with campaign reporting delivered back home.

Founded in 1998 by Corey "CL" Llewellyn, Digiwaxx was built to let artists deliver music directly to the DJs who break records, without the middlemen. The global expansion extends that model to the genres reshaping American playlists: Afrobeats, amapiano, UK rap and drill, regional mexicano and corridos, Punjabi and Bollywood, and Japanese and Korean releases.

"Digiwaxx was built so an artist could reach the DJs who break records without asking permission from a middleman," said Kay Ali of Digiwaxx Media. "For 27 years that meant American artists and American DJs. The records breaking in U.S. clubs right now are coming from Lagos, London, Mexico City and Mumbai, so the pipeline is now open to them too. Same pool, bigger world."

International artists and labels can submit releases at digiwaxx.com.
